Since the beginning of humanity, humans have endeavoured to understand and explore the unknown. With advances in our ability to navigate all parts of the earth, including the bottom of the ocean and now space, few things remain unexplored. One of the last few unexplored remnants of our world is the inner world and the relationship between how human thought, beliefs, relate to the working of our biology and the reality of our world.
Whether its a momentous occasion or an everyday activity, many thoughts influence ourselves and the pace of our life. Certain things may set us off or slip us into profound gratitude. Researchers around the world have sought to elucidate these thoughts into how they directly correlate to our behavior. Many studies and compelling research can be found to answer some of these fundamental questions of why we do things. We are missing out on a key link to explore these beliefs and thought patterns: How do we keep track of these thoughts? Perception Medicine Foundation has launched a new project which sets out to track and understand various biological rhythms. By supporting research and companies in the space to expand human understanding into how we can modulate and take control of our own biology, we deepen the knowledge of how humans can use thought to take back their own health.
Biofeedback devices have emerged as a profound answer to track these thoughts and beliefs we hold. We can see everything from our heartbeat to our breath rate - and with the growing advancement of technology, we can easily pull up our biometrics on our cellphones, have it all interpreted for us to create implications for our health, and share with others.
We can live more transparently.
We can modulate our own metrics to shape the health we want to have.
We can contribute, by modulating and tracking heart rhythms, to create a more heart-centred world.
By funding cutting-edge research, we understand what the link is, how thought relates to chemistry, finding correlative patterns by applying machine learning and artificial intelligence, we start to understand how technology will interface with consciousness and beliefs. In the coming decades, our project is ambitious and almost sci-fi in nature as we work with a group of leading thinkers in medicine, immunology, psychology, and technology.
